Helen Of Troy's stock plunged 8.92% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the company's mixed third-quarter results and tepid full-year guidance. While the consumer products company's adjusted earnings per share and EBITDA marginally beat estimates, its revenue for the quarter fell short of expectations.
In the third quarter, Helen Of Troy reported net income of $49.6 million and adjusted operating income of $87.9 million. Its adjusted EBITDA came in at $96.8 million, slightly above the consensus estimate of $95 million. However, the company's sales of $530.7 million missed analysts' expectations of $534.3 million.
Looking ahead, Helen Of Troy provided a full-year revenue guidance range of $1,888-1,913 million and an EPS guidance range of $4.6-5.02. These forecasts appear to be on the lower end of expectations, potentially disappointing investors and contributing to the pre-market sell-off.
