Raymond reports 6.6% cut in 2025 carbon footprint; solar power now covers 10% of electricity use

Raymond Industrial Ltd. released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, highlighting measurable progress in carbon reduction, resource efficiency and supply-chain governance.

Environmental performance • Carbon emissions: Total CO₂e fell 6.56% to 18.94 thousand tons, driven by a 6.52% drop in electricity-related Scope 2 emissions (to 13,420.66 tons) and an 8.70% reduction in Scope 1 emissions (to 270.64 tons). • Renewable energy: A rooftop photovoltaic array at the Nansha plant generated 2.69 million kWh, supplying 10.04% of total power and avoiding 1,497.90 tons of CO₂. • Energy and resources: Overall electricity consumption decreased 6.52% to 24.10 GWh; water use declined 19.34% to 166.87 thousand m³; packaging materials usage dropped 30.64% to 2,912.43 tons. • Waste: Non-hazardous waste fell 13.1% to 678 tons; hazardous waste rose 4.8% to 74.10 tons due to new product lines.

Climate risk & targets Raymond’s Internal Sustainability and Climate Committee assessed physical and transition risks under SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios. Short-term goals include a 5% annual CO₂ reduction, higher renewable-energy penetration and completion of site drainage upgrades by 2026. Long-term objective remains carbon neutrality by 2050.

Social metrics • Workforce: 2,363 employees (59.37% female); turnover rate 19.3% with 48.5% of departures under age 30. • Training: All staff trained; average 76.17 hours per employee—83.16 hours for women, 69.67 hours for men. • Safety: 99 working days lost to injuries; no fatalities for the third consecutive year. • Employee welfare: Dormitory upgrades, 24-hour hot water, heat-stress mitigation and free annual health screenings implemented.

Governance & compliance Raymond maintained ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and ISO 27001 certifications and retained AEO status. No environmental or corruption penalties occurred in 2025. A board-level ESG framework guides strategy, with whistle-blower protection and zero-tolerance anti-bribery policies in force.

Supply-chain oversight The company monitored 293 qualified suppliers—87.03% in the Pearl River Delta—and conducts regular RoHS/REACH compliance tests. No supplier violations or product-safety recalls with health implications were recorded; only 115 units (0.001% of shipments) were recalled for quality issues.

Looking ahead For 2026 Raymond targets completion of disaster-response SOPs, further efficiency gains via digital-manufacturing upgrades, and continued expansion of recycled materials and electric vehicles, aligning ESG integration with long-term shareholder value and regulatory expectations.
