JPMorgan has recruited David Fishman, the former co-head of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) mergers and acquisitions at Bank of America, to serve as vice chairman of investment banking and head of North American tech M&A, according to media reports. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that Fishman resigned from Bank of America earlier last week. Internal memos reveal that he is slated to join JPMorgan later this year.

Fishman's LinkedIn profile shows he spent nearly 16 years at Bank of America, where he most recently held the role of co-head of TMT investment banking before his departure. In his new position, Fishman will focus on expanding M&A activities and building a new investment banking team dedicated to core technology clients, assisting them in navigating complex transactions. The memo further notes that the formation of this team is designed to support the bank's most important tech clients, though additional specifics were not disclosed.

Vineet Seth, the previous head of North American tech M&A, has been promoted to vice chairman of investment banking. Both Seth and Fishman will join JPMorgan's newly established Technology M&A Leadership and Advisory Committee.
