The State Council has issued the "Implementation Opinions on Improving the National Unified Electricity Market System," setting targets to establish a basic framework by 2030 and fully complete the system by 2035. Key measures include optimizing nationwide power resource allocation, enhancing inter-regional electricity trading mechanisms, and improving market functions such as spot markets, medium-to-long-term markets, auxiliary service markets, green power markets, capacity markets, and retail markets. The plan also promotes equal participation of various market entities, establishes unified regulatory and technical standards, and strengthens policy coordination. This initiative systematically benefits Hong Kong-listed power and related industrial chain companies, including Huarun Power (00836), Longyuan Power (00916), Towngas Smart Energy (01083), Huadian Power (01071), Datang New Energy (01798), and CRRC Times Electric (03898).

U.S. stock indices closed slightly lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 66.74 points to 50,121.4, the S&P 500 dipping 0.34 points to 6,941.47, and the Nasdaq Composite declining 36 points to 23,066.47. Most U.S.-listed Chinese stocks fell, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon Index down 0.65%. 21Vianet surged over 12%, Kingsoft Cloud rose nearly 10%, TSMC hit a new high with a gain over 3%, while Bilibili and Nio increased over 2%. The Hang Seng Index ADR fell 194.65 points to 27,071.73. NYMEX WTI crude rose $0.93 to $64.89 per barrel, while COMEX gold gained $76.80 to $5,107.8 per ounce, and silver climbed $3.70 to $84.085 per ounce.

The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) has urged central enterprises to actively expand effective investment in computing power, emphasizing independent innovation in key technologies like large AI models and promoting scalable AI applications aligned with core business needs. Separately, China’s anti-monopoly committee issued guidelines for the utilities sector to prevent monopolistic practices in water, power, gas, and heating supply, affecting companies such as Huarun Gas (01193), ENN Energy (02688), Longyuan Power (00916), and Beijing Enterprises Water (00371).

Global New Material International (06616) will acquire a 29.89% stake in Zhejiang JiHua (603980.SH) through a partnership, resuming trading on February 12. Huarun Power (00836) reported a 28.4% year-on-year increase in power sales for January 2026, with wind and photovoltaic sales rising 7.2% and 72.3%, respectively. Sage Bella (02508) announced expansion into the U.S., U.K., France, Thailand, and Australia, citing strong demand for postpartum care services. FriendTimes (06820) expects to turn a profit of 90–96 million yuan in 2025, with revenue growing 4.9–8.4% year-on-year, driven by existing games and new business developments. BYD has become an official partner of Manchester City Football Club. Value Partners (00806) anticipates a significant rise in 2025 net profit to approximately HK$660 million. NetEase (09999) reported a 13.68% increase in 2025 net profit to 33.76 billion yuan, with Q4 revenue up 3% and gaming services growing 3.4%. NetEase Cloud Music (09899) saw adjusted net profit surge 68.2% to 2.86 billion yuan in 2025.
