Owens-Corning's stock surged 5.74% in pre-market trading following the release of its first-quarter financial results, which exceeded analyst expectations across key metrics.

The building products maker reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.22, beating the consensus estimate of $0.95 by 28.42%. Quarterly sales came in at $2.265 billion, surpassing the $2.162 billion estimate by 4.77%. Additionally, adjusted EBITDA of $369 million topped the forecast of $338.2 million. Despite year-over-year declines in a challenging market environment, the company highlighted resilient commercial and operational execution.

Investors were further encouraged by the company's second-quarter outlook, which anticipates revenue from continuing operations between $2.6 billion and $2.7 billion with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 20% to 22%. Owens-Corning also reiterated its plan to return $2 billion to shareholders over the 2025-2026 period and noted the completion of its glass reinforcements business sale, allowing it to focus on its core building products portfolio.
