China Innovation Drug ETF (03525) Rises Over 2%, Focusing on R&D-Driven Quality Innovative Drug Companies in Hong Kong and Developed Markets

According to Zhitong Finance APP, China Innovation Drug ETF (03525) rose over 2%, reaching 2% as of press time, at HK$10.2, with a turnover of HK$491,300.

It is reported that the China Innovation Drug ETF was officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 29. The fund was jointly developed by China Asset Management (Hong Kong) and Franklin Templeton, with the full name being the ChinaAMC Franklin FTSE Innovative Drug ETF. It tracks the FTSE ETF Connect Innovative Drug Index, which includes 30 Hong Kong-listed securities eligible for Stock Connect and 70 developed market securities. The target weights for the Hong Kong market and other developed markets are 65% and 35% respectively.

Open Source Securities pointed out that against the backdrop of global MNCs continuously replenishing their innovation pipelines and the gradually emerging advantages of China's innovative drug R&D efficiency and cost, the going-global of innovative drugs is expected to evolve from single-point BD transactions to normalized and platform-based cooperation. Innovative drug companies with globally competitive pipelines, differentiated technology platforms, and sustained BD capabilities are expected to usher in value revaluation.
