Deutsche Bank has announced a significant senior appointment as it looks to strengthen its capital markets franchise across the Asia Pacific region. Yang Lan is set to join the bank in the role of Head of Asia Pacific Equity Syndicate, bringing with her a wealth of experience from some of the industry's most prominent financial institutions.

In her new position, Yang Lan will work closely with Nora Yeung and Melody Ngan, who serve as Co-Heads of Equity Capital Markets for the Asia Pacific region. Together, this leadership team will be tasked with driving the next phase of business growth for the German banking giant, capitalizing on emerging opportunities within the region's dynamic equity markets.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Yang Lan held the position of Head of Hong Kong Equity Syndicate at China International Capital Corporation (CICC). Her career spans more than 15 years in capital markets, with a strong track record in equity syndicate, equity capital markets, and equity-linked transactions. She previously gained valuable experience at Credit Suisse, where she built a solid foundation in the field before moving to CICC.

Yang Lan's academic credentials include both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Tsinghua University, which she completed in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Her professional journey began in July 2010 when she joined Credit Suisse, and she later transitioned to CICC in January 2016, where she spent several years cultivating her expertise in the equity markets landscape.
