Three new high-speed railway stations will be added along two lines: the Hangzhou Airport High-Speed Railway and the Shanghai-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway. Let's take a closer look together.

Hangzhou Airport High-Speed Railway

01 Basic Project Information

Project route: The Hangzhou Airport High-Speed Railway starts from Tongxiang Station, passes through Tongxiang City and Haining City in Jiaxing City, crosses the Qiantang River and heads south, passes through Qiantang District and Xiaoshan District in Hangzhou City and Keqiao District in Shaoxing City, and finally reaches Shaoxing North Station.

Construction scale: The newly built main line is approximately 72 kilometers long, of which the Tongxiang to Qiantang section is approximately 34 kilometers with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour; the Qiantang to Shaoxing section is approximately 38 kilometers with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour; a connecting line from Hangzhou South Station to Xiaoshan Airport Station is approximately 13 kilometers long with a designed speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

Planned construction period: The project is planned to have a construction period of 4 years.

Station setup: The entire line has stations including Tongxiang, Haining Guanchao, Qiantang, Xiaoshan Airport, and Shaoxing North, among which Haining Guanchao, Qiantang, and Xiaoshan Airport are newly built stations.

Qiantang Station is located in Fenglou Village, Xinwan Street, Qiantang District, Hangzhou. It is an important part of the Hangzhou Airport High-Speed Railway, the "origin point" of the future Qiantang High-Speed Railway New City area, and a key node in the multi-level rail transit network of the Yangtze River Delta.

The total construction area of the Qiantang Station building and related works is approximately 280,000 square meters, of which the railway station building is approximately 70,000 square meters and the comprehensive supporting works are approximately 210,000 square meters.

Qiantang Station is an elevated station above the line, with a station scale of 6 platforms and 11 tracks, capable of originating and terminating services; passengers enter and exit the station using an "up-in, down-out" flow pattern.

The hub will introduce Metro Line 8 and Line 19 (planned), bringing together high-speed rail, metro, and other multi-level transportation networks to form a well-connected transportation hub.

03 Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Station

The newly built Xiaoshan Airport Station of the railway is located in Guali Town, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, on the south side of the comprehensive transportation center reserved in the airport's overall construction plan, between Terminal 2 buildings.

The station is an underground station, implemented according to the plan of 2 platforms and 4 tracks (including 2 main lines), with an effective length of 650 meters for arrival and departure tracks.

The station building is a side-type underground two-story structure: the first underground floor is the station hall level, and the second underground floor is the platform level. The ground level is equipped with 10 ventilation pavilions, entrances and exits, and evacuation openings. The total construction area is 56,000 square meters, and the maximum gathering capacity is 1,000 people.

The Hangzhou South-Xiaoshan Airport connecting line to the Taizhou direction will be implemented simultaneously.

Newly Built Shanghai to Hangzhou High-Speed Railway

01 Basic Project Information

The newly built Shanghai-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway will start full-scale construction within 2026. The preliminary project started construction in September 2025, with a total construction period of 4 years, meaning it is expected to be completed in 2029.

The Shanghai-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway is located in southern Shanghai and northern Zhejiang Province. The line starts in the east from the under-construction Shanghai East Station of the Oriental Hub, uses the second phase of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway to Situan Station, connects through Jiaxing South Station in the Jiaxing area to the under-construction Nantong-Ningbo High-Speed Railway, connects through Tongxiang Station to the under-construction Hangzhou Airport High-Speed Railway, and finally reaches Hangzhou West Station.

The newly built main line is approximately 197 kilometers long (approximately 54 kilometers in the Shanghai section and approximately 143 kilometers in the Zhejiang section), with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The entire line has a total of 9 stations, including 4 newly built stations: Fengxian, Shanghai Jinshan, Pinghu City, and Linping North; 4 stations to be rebuilt and expanded: Situan, Jiaxing South, Tongxiang, and Hangzhou West; and 1 station to be utilized: Shanghai East.

02 Linping North Station Hub

The plot is located in Donghu New City, bordering Ningqiao Avenue to the north, Hongda Road to the south, Xinghe Road to the west, and Heyu Road to the east.

Linping North Station is located in Donghu New City, Linping District, near the intersection of Ningqiao Avenue and Heyu Road, close to Long'an Station of Metro Line 9.
