Data from a routine press conference held by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on July 30 shows that a project providing consumption subsidies for elderly care services has so far benefited nearly 2 million seniors with moderate to severe disabilities nationwide.

The program has processed a total of 10,799,200 consumption vouchers, with a total redemption value of 6.512 billion yuan. These subsidies have helped drive 29.093 billion yuan in elderly care service spending across the country.
