A major logistics provider has successfully overseen the shipment of the first batch of main engine units and hubs for the CZ3 offshore wind power project's second phase from the Basuo Port in Dongfang City.

The cargo, destined for waters off Danzhou, marks the company's return to handling large-scale, complete engineering logistics projects for this initiative after a two-year hiatus since the first phase.

The CZ3 project is among the first national-level offshore wind power developments in Hainan Province approved during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, representing a total investment of 14.6 billion yuan.

Upon completion, it is projected to supply approximately 3.66 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, saving an estimated 1.1 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 2.87 million tons.

The initial shipment comprised two sets of main engines and hubs, each weighing over 400 tons, posing significant challenges for loading, unloading, and transportation.

Leveraging its integrated resources across shipping, port operations, and logistics, the company formed a dedicated task force to tackle the project.

Building on experience from the first phase and through extensive coordination with manufacturers, the port, shipowners, and the client, the team meticulously planned and optimized the operational strategy tailored to the oversized equipment.

The plan comprehensively managed the entire process, from vessel berthing and departure to the sea voyage and final unloading at the destination.

Through close collaboration among all parties, the two sets of main engines, hubs, and related components were successfully loaded and dispatched.

This achievement demonstrated the company's robust capability in managing full-chain logistics for major projects, earning high praise from the client.
