On October 1 local time, Iran's "Persian Gulf Strait Authority" issued a statement saying that multiple oil tanker attacks have recently occurred in the Strait of Hormuz, and the three most recently attacked tankers are all owned or leased by the United Arab Emirates.
Investigations show that the tankers Al Ruwais, Sinbad, and Mersin Prosperity had passed through the Strait of Hormuz multiple times over the past two months, and the names of these three tankers had appeared on the "Persian Gulf Strait Authority's" latest updated violation list.
