Goldman Sachs has named veteran FinTech banker Jeffrey Gido as co-chair of its Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG). According to an internal memo, Gido will work alongside current chairs John Mahoney and Dirk Lievens to lead the FIG team. His responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior leaders across the financial institutions team and broader business areas to drive commercial opportunities and advise some of the bank’s most important clients, particularly in the FinTech sector. Gido joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 and advanced within the FIG division, later becoming the global head for the FinTech industry.
