According to the announcement, Xinyi Solar Holdings Limited (XYS) and Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited (XYG) provided additional details regarding their continuing connected transactions under an Electricity Framework Agreement. The annual cap for the sale of electricity is set at RMB35.4 million, drawing on a RMB13.8 million purchase figure recorded by the XYG Group for the eleven months ended 30 November 2025. Much of that purchase period was in the second half of 2025, when two XYS Group production lines were suspended, resulting in surplus electricity generated by XYS’s rooftop solar panels.

The maximum potential electricity supply to XYG is projected between 60,875 megawatt hours (MWh) and 73,050 MWh, with the agreement stipulating a reference rate that will not surpass the historical weighted average electricity rate of approximately RMB608 per MWh paid by XYG at the relevant supply location. The announcement also notes that XYG intends to compare rates with those offered by the State Grid, and if available, from other independent third-party suppliers in each relevant location.

A discount of 15% to 20% to the prevailing State Grid rate will be applied each month, ensuring that the electricity cost payable by XYG remains in line with local market rates. The announcement clarifies that the rooftop solar-generated electricity cannot be routed to other users due to geographical constraints, and both companies confirm that relevant internal control measures will be strictly observed throughout the contract period.
