Citi has released a research report stating that MGM CHINA's property EBITDA for the second quarter fell 7% year-on-year and 5% quarter-on-quarter, exceeding the bank's expectations by 3% and market expectations by 1%. Net revenue remained roughly flat year-on-year.
The bank noted that MGM CHINA's management is confident in maintaining property EBITDA margins at a mid-to-high 20% level. It also highlighted that gaming revenue began to recover in the second week of July, when only a few matches of the World Cup remained. Citi maintained a "buy" rating for the company with a target price of HK$13.7.
