On the morning of March 28, the C2707 train from Beijing West Station to Xiong'an Station was filled with a lively atmosphere as a special onboard event titled "My Railway Scenery: High-Speed Rail Reading" brought the first season of the 2026 "My Railway Scenery" promotional campaign to a successful conclusion. The high-speed rail link between Beijing and the Xiong'an New Area provided a distinctive setting for the flourishing new mass literary and artistic movement. During the journey, emerging writers from various fields, including Xiao Hai, Ai Nuoyi, and Niu Erge, shared their personal stories connected to railways and recited their own works. Outstanding authors recognized through the "My Railway Scenery" campaign also enthusiastically took the stage to present readings. The event reached its peak when four railway employees jointly recited excerpts from the classic railway-themed work "Oh, Fragrant Snow." Outside the train windows, the North China Plain buzzed with spring energy, while inside the carriage, the passion of the artists remained undiminished. Amid resonant recitations and the singing of "Seeing China by High-Speed Rail," the train arrived at the "City of the Future," Xiong'an. The modern, smart Xiong'an Station, notable for its intelligent construction, eco-friendly development, and passenger-friendly services, left a strong impression on literary and artistic creators from across the country, offering fresh inspiration for their future works. Poet Wen Xiongzhen, who participated in the event, expressed, "High-speed rail is a national symbol with distinct contemporary relevance. Literary creation must be grounded in the times and rooted in life. This activity has given me many ideas, and I will strive to produce more works that are closely connected to railways, reflective of the era, and resonant with the public." The event was organized by the Creative Liaison Department of the China Writers Association and the Propaganda Department of the China State Railway Group Party Committee, with execution handled by China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. The 2026 "My Railway Scenery" campaign was officially launched in January this year, attracting widespread participation from passengers and cultural creators. The successful staging of the "My Railway Scenery: High-Speed Rail Reading" event marks the successful conclusion of the first season. It has been reported that the second season will commence in April.
