Stock Track | KB LAMINATES Plummets 5.14% Intraday Amid Share Deposit and Price Hike Concerns

Stock Track
06/18

KB LAMINATES (01888) saw its stock price plummet by 5.14% during intraday trading on Thursday, marking a significant downward movement for the copper-clad laminate manufacturer.

The sharp decline follows news that a shareholder deposited 105 million shares of the company with Citibank, resulting in a 3.33% increase in their holding proportion. Such significant share deposits often raise concerns about potential future selling pressure in the market.

Additionally, the company has issued another price increase notice, raising prices by 15% for all its FR-4 and PP products. This marks the fifth price adjustment by KB LAMINATES this year, with cumulative product price increases now exceeding 50%. The company attributes these increases to persistently high copper prices and continuously rising costs for glass fabric, which is in tight supply. While intended to offset production costs, repeated price hikes may raise investor concerns about potential demand erosion and competitive pressures in the market.
