A high-end laser chip manufacturing base is now set for Chancheng District.

On June 9th, Foshan Chanxin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. successfully acquired an approximately 20-mu industrial plot in Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, marking the official establishment of the high-end laser chip manufacturing base project within the Nanzhuang High-End Precision Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. The project's total construction area is about 27,000 square meters and is anticipated to attract over 1 billion yuan in investment.



Local Infrastructure Milestone: Hongde Bridge Successfully Connected

Recently, the main bridge of Hongde Bridge, a crucial component of the Foshan Hongde North Road project, was successfully joined. The Hongde North Road project serves as a key arterial road linking Chancheng District to Nanhai District. Once the Hongde Bridge is opened to traffic, it will establish a "northern exit" for the Lvdahu Lake area and smooth the "southern gateway" for the Luocun area, addressing a critical gap in cross-river transportation in western Chancheng.



Over 1,200 Resettlement Apartments Delivered in Nanhai Guicheng

On June 9th, a centralized delivery ceremony was held for the first phase of resettlement housing in the old village renovation project of Xiabei Zhoubiao Economic Cooperative in Guicheng, Nanhai. This project is the largest whole-village renovation project currently under construction in Nanhai District, with overall redevelopment handled by China Vanke Co.,Ltd. and developed in four phases. This initial phase comprises 11 residential buildings, offering over 1,200 apartments, primarily three-bedroom units of approximately 100 square meters and four-bedroom units of around 136 square meters.



New Progress for Two Major Agricultural Projects in Nanhai Jiujiang

Recently, the Dajian Smart Agriculture project in Jiujiang, Nanhai, officially commenced construction. With an investment of approximately 20 million yuan, the project involves the renovation and upgrade of about 130 mu of contiguous aquaculture ponds and the construction of a factory-based recirculating aquaculture system. Concurrently, the Shida Aquatic Ecological Aquaculture project (Hejiang area) has successfully commenced operations, while construction for its second phase in the Shangxi Sanxiangwei area has also started. The project has already established cooperative relationships with several well-known purchasers, with anticipated product orders reaching 100 million yuan.



Sanlongwan to Add Over 300,000 Sq. M. of High-End Industrial Space

The contiguous renovation project of Pingzhou Industrial Park, located north of Sanlongwan Avenue, has recently achieved a new milestone. Furthermore, the land plot for the industrial resettlement housing project, situated east of Shuntai Road, north of Shengli West Road, and west of the Guangzhu West Expressway, has achieved "commencement immediately upon demolition." With a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan, the project will construct over 300,000 square meters of high-end industrial facilities. It will incorporate MIC modular construction and BIPV photovoltaic integration technologies to create a high-quality, modern industrial park integrating knowledge exchange, industrial empowerment, and talent aggregation.



Shunde Yushang Awarded District-Level Intangible Cultural Heritage Plaque

On June 9th, Shunde District's "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" event was held at the Shunde District Museum. During the recognition ceremony for the tenth batch of representative intangible cultural heritage projects, the "Shunde Yushang (Raw Fish) Preparation Technique" was formally awarded a district-level intangible cultural heritage plaque. It was among 14 other projects receiving recognition, including Wuxingquan and the Roast Goose Preparation Technique.



National Infrastructure Update: Hailong Bridge Tops Out in Expressway Expansion

The twin towers of the Xiaolan Waterway Bridge, part of the Hailong Bridge within the Guang'ao Expressway (Nansha to Zhuhai section) expansion project, have recently been topped out. This milestone marks the official transition of the Hailong Bridge into the main girder construction phase. Once the expanded project opens to traffic, the traffic capacity of the western bank of the Pearl River is expected to increase by over 40%, further enhancing the "one-hour commuting circle" connecting Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Zhuhai.



A 97-Year-Old's Lifelong Dedication to Family in Foshan

Ninety-seven-year-old grandmother Huang Ruiyun, a resident of Shatou Community in Shunde, began working in Singapore as a "Majie" (amah) at the age of 17, playing ball with her employer's children and doing household chores. She taught herself to write by reading newspapers to send letters home. Finally, at the age of 70, she used her savings to return to Foshan, buying an apartment to settle back in her roots.



Medical Emergency: Dislocated Jaw Reset for Exam Candidate Minutes Before Test

A college entrance exam candidate suffered an unexpected dislocated jaw just before entering the examination hall.
