Kunlun Energy Company Limited announced that independent non-executive director (INED) Mr. Sun Patrick will assume the newly created role of Lead Independent Non-Executive Director from 24 March 2026.

Mr. Sun, who currently chairs the Audit Committee and sits on both the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, will focus on enhancing communication among INEDs, the wider Board and shareholders. The position carries no executive or managerial duties within the company or its subsidiaries.

The Board stated that the appointment responds to amendments to the Hong Kong Listing Rules and the Corporate Governance Code effective 1 July 2025, aimed at bolstering board effectiveness and strengthening corporate governance practices.

Following the announcement, Kunlun Energy’s Board comprises: • Mr. Liu Guohai – Chairman and Executive Director • Mr. He Yongli – Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director • Ms. Lyu Jing and Mr. Qi Zhenzhong – Non-Executive Directors • Mr. Sun Patrick (Lead INED), Mr. Tsang Yok Sing Jasper and Mr. Kwok Chi Shing – Independent Non-Executive Directors

The designation was released under the authority of Company Secretary Mr. Xie Mao on 24 March 2026 in Hong Kong.
