"The key question is whether your high-frequency essential needs are met, including the overall temperament and design quality of the vehicle, whether exterior or interior - this is the most crucial aspect. It's impossible for the third-generation ES8 to be equivalent to the ET9, as this would be cost-prohibitive," he explained.

On the previous evening, the all-new third-generation NIO Inc. ES8 officially launched its pre-sale, introducing three models: the 6-seat Executive Luxury Edition, 6-seat Executive Signature Edition, and 7-seat Executive Luxury Edition.

The 6-seat Executive Luxury Edition and 7-seat Executive Luxury Edition are both priced at 416,800 yuan for the complete vehicle, or starting from 308,800 yuan with the battery rental option. The 6-seat Executive Signature Edition is priced at 456,800 yuan for the complete vehicle, or 348,800 yuan with battery rental. The new vehicles are scheduled for official launch and delivery in late September 2025.
