During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Daozhen Autonomous County in Zunyi City leveraged the "Daozhen City Basketball" men's basketball invitational tournament as an opportunity to build a diversified integration system of "sports competition + ethnic arts + agricultural product exhibitions + night economy," creating a spectacular sports, culture and tourism feast. Statistics show that during the double holiday period, traffic flow to Daozhen via highways increased 41.03% year-on-year, with the county receiving over 300,000 visitors and generating tourism consumption revenue exceeding 170 million yuan.

From October 1st to 6th, 16 basketball teams from Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, and Hunan engaged in fierce competition in Daozhen. Fans and tourists from various regions flocked to the area, pushing the competition atmosphere to its climax while boosting local agricultural product consumption.

During this period, Daozhen's harvest festival agricultural product exhibition and consumption promotion activities were held simultaneously, featuring a dazzling array of ecological agricultural products and Gelao ethnic cuisine that attracted numerous tourists to make purchases. Jian Youbin, head of the red-heart kiwi base in Shunhe Village, Pingmo Town, Daozhen Autonomous County, said: "Over several days, cumulative online and offline sales reached over 30,000 yuan."

As evening lights illuminated the area, performances at the "Yue Zunyi · Daozhen Li" people's stage in a corner of Daozhen Sports Park were equally lively. Across the road, Linda Food Street was brightly lit with aromatic food stalls. "Because of the basketball tournament, there are obviously more people coming for entertainment and consumption. Our restaurant has been full every day," said Huang Zhipan, who operates a restaurant near the people's stage.

Scenic spots and attractions were equally packed with visitors. China Nuo City scenic area held a series of activities themed "Celebrating National Prosperity · Ancient Nuo Welcomes Mid-Autumn," including the eating new rice and bamboo worship ceremony and Mid-Autumn harmony banquet, allowing tourists to immersively experience Gelao culture. Tourist Xiao Xuemei from Sichuan said: "The ethnic customs here are rich, the banquet is special and delicious, and there are iron flower performances and night hot springs in the evening. It's very good."

During the tournament, Daozhen Autonomous County also successively held cultural performances, "Eating New Festival" and other series of activities. Tourist Yuan Minju from Chongqing said: "Coming to Daozhen for tourism, visiting museums during the day to learn about local culture, and going to the gymnasium at night to watch games and cheer for our hometown team is very meaningful."
