Intensified competition within the industry will ultimately drive advancements in products and technology, allowing leading companies to distinguish themselves.

This perspective was shared by Qin Xiaojun, the head of overseas business at UBTECH ROBOTICS, during a recent forum held in Hong Kong. He noted that since last year, following a rapid industry boom, a significant influx of capital and talent has entered the field, leading to what is colloquially termed as "involution" or intense internal competition.

He highlighted the accelerated pace of development, pointing out that while humanoid robot product iterations previously took several years, new generations are now being released in just over a year. This competitive pressure, he argues, ultimately fuels progress in both products and underlying technologies, enabling the most capable firms to emerge successfully. Furthermore, this situation indicates that the needs of many industry clients remain unmet.

Qin Xiaojun also emphasized the current urgent demand across numerous roles for advanced technology to alleviate workers' burdens. This necessitates more thorough technological iteration to bring mature, practical solutions to market that can create genuine, tangible value.
