CONCORD HC GP (02453) has announced a strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Under the agreement, the group will construct and operate a Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Centre at the Tashkent National Medical Centre. This project is structured as a public-private partnership (PPP), leveraging the Ministry's local medical facilities, healthcare insurance systems, and regional resources. The company will fully fund and operate the centre over a 15-year period, sharing project revenue.

The initiative aims to strengthen advanced oncology radiotherapy services in Central Asia. It will also create synergies with the company's Guangzhou Concord Cancer Hospital (Guangzhou Hospital). This marks a key milestone in the company's international expansion into the Central Asian market.

By utilizing its mature expertise in oncology radiotherapy, Gamma Knife operations, and AI technology, the company is pursuing a capital-light, technology-driven export model. This project is designed as a replicable blueprint for overseas medical partnerships.

Once operational, the Gamma Knife business will complement the proton therapy services at Guangzhou Hospital. The partnership will establish a cross-border multidisciplinary consultation and patient referral system, enhancing brand influence. Furthermore, it will generate a new and stable source of overseas revenue, optimizing the company's income geography and enriching its high-end oncology radiotherapy service chain.

Building on this initial success, both parties plan to deepen their cooperation. Future areas of collaboration will include the joint construction and operation of additional radiotherapy centres, imaging diagnostic centres, and the application of artificial intelligence.
