Retail Sentiment Split Narrows for Hang Seng Index as of August 11

The latest bull-bear ratio for the Hang Seng Index stands at 49.5% to 50.5% as of August 11, indicating a nearly even split between bullish and bearish positions.

Data from the bear-bear certificate distribution chart shows the heavy concentration zone for bear certificates is in the 26,500 to 26,599 range, where the number of outstanding bear certificates has risen to 796, an increase of 169 from the previous trading day. The area with the most significant new additions is the 26,100 to 26,199 range, which now holds 327 bear certificates, up by 203 from the prior session.

On the bull side, the heavy concentration area for bull certificates is the 25,300 to 25,399 range, with 700 certificates currently outstanding, an increase of 230 from the previous day. The zone with the largest new additions is the 25,500 to 25,599 range, where the number of bull certificates climbed to 261, a net increase of 261 from the prior trading day.
