Following the explosive emergence of ChatGPT that ignited the global AI wave, Meta, under the leadership of Mark Zuckerberg, is attempting to fully integrate its AI software and hardware ecosystem, aiming to become a dominant leader in AI large language models, AI application software centered on agents, and the AR+AI smart glasses domain. The term "post-smartphone era" primarily highlights a prevailing trend, describing a period where smartphone demand growth continues to slow while the penetration rate of new wearable consumer electronic carriers for AI models, like smart glasses, surges dramatically. This marks a "mixed-battle era" where global smartphone demand is gradually peaking, and various intelligent consumer electronics equipped with AI models are rising. When smartphones are no longer the sole, or even the core, electronic interaction hub, AI assistants require a more intimate, real-time, and lower-friction entry point; smart glasses (particularly models with cameras/microphones, or even displays) are naturally suited to "enable AI models to see what you see, hear what you hear, and provide prompts/answers at any time."

These AI smart glasses are consumer electronic devices with a classic eyeglass appearance, equipped with camera and audio functionalities. They resemble standard Ray-Ban frames but innovatively incorporate hands-free photo and video capture, open-speaker audio, microphones, and a fully integrated, proprietary Meta AI assistant.

This line of AI smart glasses integrates dual 12 MP cameras in the newer generation for photography and supports 1080p video recording up to 60 seconds, complete with a visible recording indicator to alert people nearby. They utilize open speakers and a multi-microphone array for music playback, calls, and voice input while allowing ambient sound to remain clearly audible. It can also pair with a wrist-worn Neural Band, a device that reads subtle muscle signals in the hand to enable micro-gesture control, pointing towards more complex, AR-style deep interactions within a relatively traditional glasses form factor.

The combination of the Display and wristband gestures elevates the device from a wearable capable of "taking photos/voice assistance" to an everyday tool that allows users to "view, reply, and navigate without pulling out a phone": previewing messages and social media content, walking navigation maps, live captions/translation, camera framing, and zooming are all displayed directly on the lens and operated via the wristband.
