Geo Energy Resources Limited (RE4) said on Mar, 17 2026 that its 92-kilometre hauling road and jetty in South Sumatera, developed by subsidiary PT Marga Bara Jaya, is 80 per cent finished and on schedule for completion in Jun/Jul 2026.

Truck-haul trials will start in Apr 2026 under Coal Hauling Trial Services Agreements signed with PT Citra Andalan Mobilindo Cemerlang and China North Vehicle Corporation.

The group has also signed two binding term sheets with third-party coal producers covering about 9 million tonnes of annual haulage. Including 25 million tonnes reserved for its own TRA mine, committed throughput on the corridor now totals up to 34 million tonnes per year.

At full capacity of roughly 50 million tonnes a year, the new infrastructure is expected to generate up to about 405 million Singapore dollars in annual EBITDA for the group.

Geo Energy has set a 2026 coal-production target of 11.5 million to 12.5 million tonnes, subject to final regulatory approval. Using the Mar, 13 2026 ICI4 benchmark price of US$59.97 per tonne, the company projects 230-270 million Singapore dollars in EBITDA from coal sales alone, excluding contributions from infrastructure and marine logistics.

The current benchmark price represents a 29.3 per cent increase from the fourth-quarter 2025 average of US$46.37 per tonne, reflecting stronger demand amid global geopolitical tensions.
