Tencent Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 231,000 ordinary shares on 25 September 2026 through on-exchange transactions, spending HKD 100.31 million in aggregate. The day’s purchases were executed within a price range of HKD 431.40–437.00 per share, implying a volume-weighted average cost of roughly HKD 434.24.

Including the latest purchase, shares bought for cancellation but not yet cancelled during 8–25 September total approximately 3.24 million shares. Despite the buybacks, Tencent’s issued share capital remained unchanged at 9.10 billion shares as of 25 September 2026; no treasury shares were outstanding.

The repurchases form part of a mandate approved by shareholders on 13 May 2026 authorising the company to buy back up to 911.80 million shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate now stand at 47.39 million shares, representing 0.52% of the issued share base at the mandate date. Following the 25 September transactions, Tencent is subject to a 30-day moratorium—until 25 October 2026—during which it may not issue new shares or dispose of treasury shares without prior stock-exchange approval.
