According to industry data, Macau's gross gaming revenue for the first six days of September could reach approximately MOP 3.8 billion, with a daily average of about MOP 633 million. This marks a roughly 10% decline from the daily average seen in August, yet it remains about 4% higher than the MOP 610 million daily average recorded in September of last year. Citi has highlighted these preliminary figures in its latest research note.
Looking ahead, Citi anticipates that a series of concerts and events scheduled in Macau will help drive a rebound in gaming revenues. The bank has maintained its September gaming revenue forecast at MOP 20.5 billion, projecting a 12% year-on-year increase for the month.
