On August 15, in the labor practice base of Longxing Experimental Primary School in Liangjiang New District, Chongqing, the rice paddies rippled with golden waves as heavy rice ears swayed gently in the breeze. After more than three months of growth, the 0.5 mu of rice planted by the school's teachers and students had reached the harvest season.

Nearly 20 elementary school students, accompanied by their parents and teachers, picked up sickles to cut and thresh rice in the fields, experiencing the hardships of labor and the joy of the harvest. This rice harvesting activity used the paddy fields as a classroom, fully leveraging the comprehensive educational function of labor. It allowed the children to experience the traditional harvesting process of "sickle cutting, threshing in a tub, drying on the threshing ground, and winnowing with a windmill," helping them understand the profound meaning of the saying, "Who knows that every grain on the plate comes from hard work," and cultivating the fine qualities of respecting labor and cherishing food.
