Shares of DaVita HealthCare Partners (DVA) tumbled 5.26% in after-hours trading on Tuesday, following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results and a weaker-than-expected full-year earnings outlook.

The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $4.02 for the second quarter, surpassing the IBES estimate of $3.88. Revenue came in at $3,554 million, beating the consensus estimate of $3,496 million. However, the positive quarterly performance was overshadowed by DaVita's guidance for fiscal 2026. The company expects adjusted EPS to range between $14.10 and $15.20, with the midpoint of $14.65 falling short of the FactSet consensus estimate of $14.88.

The disappointing guidance, which fell below analyst expectations, triggered the stock's decline in extended trading, as investors focused on the softer earnings outlook rather than the strong quarterly results.
