SERES (09927) shares plummeted 5.82% in early trading on Monday, following the company's announcement of a significant swing to an expected loss for the first half of 2026.
The automaker forecast a net loss attributable to shareholders of 1.50 billion to 1.80 billion yuan for H1 2026, compared to a net profit of 2.94 billion yuan a year earlier. The company attributed the expected loss primarily to higher production costs driven by rising prices of key raw materials such as memory chips, industrial metals, and lithium carbonate, as well as asset carrying value adjustments related to technological upgrades and vehicle model iterations.
