The province has announced a plan to open 1,000 artificial intelligence application scenarios by 2028, as part of a broader initiative to cultivate and open up distinctive local settings for AI development.
This goal is outlined in the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation and Opening of AI Application Scenarios in Guizhou Province." The plan is designed to provide more experimental grounds for enterprises that are pioneering AI applications within the province.
The strategy was jointly formulated by the Provincial Big Data Bureau, in collaboration with 28 other provincial departments. The Secretary-General of the Provincial Government and Director of the Provincial Big Data Bureau, Zhu Zongyao, emphasized that application scenarios are the core vehicle for AI technology to take root and evolve. He stated that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Guizhou's AI development will focus on its strategic positioning of providing computing power, data, and being a first-mover in application, adopting a collaborative development model of "R&D in the east, application in Guizhou."
Officials from the Guiyang municipal government noted that as the core area of China's first national big data comprehensive pilot zone, Guiyang and Gui'an are deeply implementing an "AI+" action plan. They are actively promoting innovation in commercial, governmental, and civilian application scenarios. Future efforts will involve formulating scenario plans, strengthening scenario cultivation, organizing the collection of scenario lists, and continuously facilitating supply-demand matching to drive the implementation of more high-quality scenario projects.
During a signing ceremony, several project collaborations were established. Guizhou Minzu University partnered with Transn, the Provincial Transportation Planning, Survey, and Design Institute collaborated with Whale Cloud, and Guizhou Aerospace Cloud Network joined forces with Guizhou Lanmeng Workshop Technology. These partnerships will focus on developing intelligent applications in areas such as minority languages, transportation infrastructure, and financial taxation.
The province will continue to host a series of promotional events for the cultivation and opening of AI application scenarios, aiming to build a crucial platform for exchange and cooperation in this field.
