CATHAY PAC AIR (00293) announced that the group has made a solid start to 2026, with the strong momentum from the peak travel period at the end of last year continuing into early January. In January, Cathay Pacific and HK Express together carried more than 3.3 million passengers, an 11% increase compared to the same month in 2025. Meanwhile, Cathay Cargo transported over 130,000 tons of cargo in January, representing a 5% year-on-year growth.

The robust performance continued into February. On February 14, 2026, both Cathay Pacific and the Cathay Group set new single-day passenger records. For the first time in its history, Cathay Pacific carried more than 100,000 passengers in a single day, transporting 100,700 travelers. Together with HK Express, the group carried approximately 128,000 passengers that day.

In January 2026, Cathay Pacific's passenger volume increased by 11% compared to the same month in 2025, while available seat kilometers rose by 14% year-on-year. Cathay Cargo's tonnage grew by 5% compared to January 2025, with available cargo tonne kilometers increasing by 3%. HK Express carried over 710,000 passengers in January 2026, an 8% rise from the same period last year, and available seat kilometers increased by 13%.
