China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited (CITIC Bank) has formally become a shareholder of Yunnan Hongta Bank Co., Ltd. following the transfer of 914.55 million shares from Kunming Industrial Development and Investment Co., Ltd. The transfer received regulatory clearance from the Yunnan Bureau of the National Financial Regulatory Administration on 26 June 2026, enabling CITIC Bank to secure a 14.52% equity interest in Yunnan Hongta Bank.

According to CITIC Bank, the transaction is intended to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two institutions, expand industry-chain finance solutions, and create additional growth opportunities. The investment has been completed and does not constitute either a notifiable transaction under Chapter 14 or a connected transaction under Chapter 14A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.

The board of CITIC Bank, chaired by Mr. Fang Heying, authorized the voluntary announcement on 26 June 2026.
