Gansu Province Introduces Real-Time Deduction for Trade-In Subsidies on E-Commerce Platforms, Replacing Pre-Application System

Starting August 1st, the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce has officially closed the "GanKuaiBan" online portal for applying for trade-in subsidies, transitioning the process to e-commerce platforms. JD.com has become the first platform to complete the system integration, enabling a "direct deduction" function for subsidies. When consumers purchase eligible products in the Gansu provincial subsidy zone on JD.com, the subsidy is automatically applied as a discount, with the payment amount deducted in real-time, creating a truly "buy-now, save-now" experience that directly benefits shoppers.

This migration of the subsidy channel is a key measure by the province to streamline the subsidy distribution process and enhance the consumer shopping experience. Previously, consumers had to apply for the subsidy through the "GanKuaiBan" platform first, then go to a designated merchant to redeem it, which involved multiple steps. After the transition, all stages of subsidy verification and payment deduction are embedded directly into the e-commerce platform's checkout process. Consumers no longer need to submit a separate application; the subsidy is automatically applied at the point of purchase, significantly shortening the time it takes to receive the benefit and lowering both the time and operational barriers for consumers.

On the JD.com app, in the Gansu provincial subsidy zone, products from categories like home appliances, digital devices, and home furnishings are now marked with a "National Subsidy Direct Deduction" label. When a consumer selects an eligible item and adds it to their cart, the system automatically calculates the subsidy amount on the payment page and deducts it directly. The final price paid is the subsidized price, making the entire process identical to a regular online purchase and achieving a "seamless subsidy, instant payout" experience.
