Hohhot Saihan Customs announced that Inner Mongolia Jiuyue International Trade Co., Ltd. has recently obtained AEO advanced certification, successfully earning the "golden brand" for foreign trade. To date, Hohhot is now home to eight AEO-certified enterprises.
AEO, or "Authorized Economic Operator," refers to businesses certified by customs. Such enterprises enjoy a range of benefits, including reduced inspection rates for import and export goods, priority customs clearance procedures, and streamlined customs facilitation in countries and regions that have mutual AEO recognition agreements with China. These advantages help effectively lower trade costs and enhance international competitiveness.
Inner Mongolia Jiuyue International Trade Co., Ltd. specializes in the international trade of bulk commodities such as energy, metals, and minerals. Its business scope includes the import of refined oil products, as well as non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminum, and gold. "Successfully obtaining AEO certification will open up more new opportunities for us in the international market," said Guo Dandan, the company's customs affairs manager.
Since the beginning of this year, Saihan Customs has focused on strengthening credit management foundations, actively promoting the latest incentive policies, and intensifying efforts to cultivate AEO certification candidates. These measures have effectively increased the "incubation rate" of local enterprises transitioning into AEO-certified businesses. At the same time, the customs authority has enhanced its proactive service approach by leveraging mechanisms such as "customs chiefs delivering policies directly to enterprises" and "one-stop service packages." This has allowed companies to fully benefit from AEO policy advantages, including access to dedicated customs coordinators and integrity-based incentives. By guiding advanced-certified enterprises to integrate AEO standards into their management systems, the initiative helps improve overall operational management, supports companies in expanding internationally, and contributes to Hohhot’s high-quality development and high-level opening-up.
