The Dell Foundation has confirmed that eligible Trump account holders will begin receiving their $250 Dell grant payments this week. According to a foundation spokesperson, these grants are scheduled to be automatically deposited into accounts as early as Monday, August 31st.

Parents and guardians can verify their eligibility through "Invest America," a non-profit advocacy organization partnered with the Dells, and can track their account activity using the Trump account application. During a Monday event in Austin alongside Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Dell Technologies Chief Executive Officer Michael Dell announced: "I am incredibly proud to share that as of this morning, the initial funds have begun transferring to children with activated accounts in Texas, with children across the rest of the country to follow shortly thereafter."

Trump accounts, also referred to as 530A accounts, are available to any American child under the age of 18 who possesses a Social Security number. As part of a pilot program designed to encourage long-term savings, children born between 2025 and 2028 will receive a one-time $1,000 deposit from the U.S. Treasury Department.

Michael Dell and his wife Susan have committed a total of $6.25 billion to provide additional funding for children born between 2016 and 2024 who do not qualify for the federal seed funding. The Dell grants are targeted at children from lower-income families, and qualifying households must reside in zip codes where the median income does not exceed $150,000.

According to Invest America, this contribution from the couple represents the largest single donation ever made for children in American history. Dell has previously stated: "Research demonstrates very clearly that when a child has even a small account in their name, they begin to view themselves differently, and this shows up in graduation rates, homeownership rates, and the businesses they start."

Dell added: "This is not just about financial outcomes—it's about a shift in mindset. When you imagine every child growing up with this sense of ownership in the American economy, the compound effect on this country over 10, 20, or 30 years will be tremendous, and that is what excites Susan and me the most."

The Dell Foundation has indicated that these funds could establish investment accounts for approximately 25 million American children. Based on the latest Treasury Department data, roughly 7 million children have already registered for Trump accounts.
