Concord Healthcare Group Co., Ltd. (CONCORD HC GP) released its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, highlighting a marked improvement in profitability alongside robust growth in its core hospital operations.

Revenue rose 34.2% year-on-year to RMB 269.65 million (USD ≈ 37.2 million), powered by a 73.4% surge in hospital-based income to RMB 265.65 million. The expansion of Guangzhou Concord Cancer Hospital’s proton therapy centre—now in routine operation with more than 1,100 cumulative patients treated—was a key driver.

Group gross profit expanded to RMB 73.0 million, up from just RMB 0.40 million a year earlier, lifting gross margin to 27.1% from 0.2%. Net loss narrowed 50.4% to RMB 99.23 million, translating into a basic loss per share of RMB 9.87 cents.

The Medical Equipment, Software and Related Services segment registered a 91.6% revenue decline to RMB 4.0 million amid postponed customer demand and contract expiries, generating a segment loss of RMB 68.17 million. Conversely, the Hospital Business delivered segment profit of RMB 16.80 million.

Operating cash inflow reached RMB 50.26 million versus an outflow of RMB 60.41 million in the prior-year period. The Group ended June with RMB 137.26 million in cash and cash equivalents, down from RMB 294.48 million at end-2025, after RMB 108.20 million in investing cash outflows and RMB 99.27 million in financing outflows. Net current liabilities stood at RMB 346.68 million, improved from RMB 576.04 million six months earlier.

Total interest-bearing debt amounted to RMB 2.89 billion, of which 6.9% carries fixed rates. In May 2026 the company raised HKD 68.00 million via issuance of 2% convertible bonds, adding HKD 63.10 million in net proceeds to support business development.

Capital expenditure reached RMB 25.0 million, while authorised but uncontracted capex totalled RMB 0.43 million at period-end. No interim dividend was declared.

Management reiterated its three-pronged strategy of “Medical + AI + Overseas Expansion” and pointed to ongoing international partnerships, deepening oncology specialisation, and the roll-out of AI-enabled platforms as key growth initiatives for the remainder of 2026.
