BINHAI TEDA Logistics (08348) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tianjin Yuanda Modern Logistics Co., Ltd. (Yuanda Logistics), recently received a Tax Treatment Decision document (Jin Shui San Ji Chu [2026] No. 85) issued by the Third Inspection Bureau of the Tianjin Municipal Taxation Bureau. The decision states that in October 2016, seven VAT special invoices received by Yuanda Logistics from a supplier for the purchase of coal were confirmed to be falsely issued. The total amount of these invoices was RMB 7.1892 million, which included a coal price of RMB 6.1446 million and VAT of RMB 1.0446 million. Yuanda Logistics used these invoices to claim tax credits and overstated expenses to underpay taxes, resulting in a total tax underpayment of RMB 2.6199 million. The ruling identifies these actions as tax evasion. According to the decision, Yuanda Logistics is not permitted to deduct the related taxes for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016, and is required to pay the overdue taxes, additional taxes totaling RMB 2.6826 million, and late payment penalties within 15 days of receiving the notice. Yuanda Logistics has already paid the total amount of RMB 7.1645 million, covering the taxes, additional taxes, and penalties. Separately, Yuanda Logistics also recently received a Decision on Not Imposing Administrative Penalties for Tax Matters (Jin Shui San Ji Bu Fa [2026] No. 8) from the Tianjin Municipal Taxation Bureau, confirming that no administrative penalties will be imposed regarding the aforementioned matter. The company emphasizes that the transactions related to these invoices have already been completed. The incident occurred in 2016. In recent years, the company has continuously improved its internal controls, conducted strict self-inspections, standardized the internal management of the group's various business operations, and strengthened accountability awareness across all processes. The company will handle any historical issues in accordance with the law, enhance communication with regulatory authorities, and strengthen its understanding of relevant laws and regulations to prevent a recurrence of such situations.
