OLED Screen Sales Expected to Decline for Three Consecutive Quarters, Falling Short of Last Year's Figures

According to recent reports from market research firms, the global sales of OLED screens have been on a downward trend, with a year-on-year decline observed since the second quarter. The report indicates that in the second quarter of this year, global OLED screen sales amounted to $11.75 billion, down 8% from $12.83 billion in the same period last year. In the third quarter, sales reached $14.00 billion, reflecting a 3% decrease from $14.37 billion a year ago. For the fourth quarter, the market research firm projects sales of $15.31 billion, which, while representing a month-on-month increase, is still 6% lower than the $16.35 billion recorded in the same quarter last year. Notably, the first quarter was the only quarter this year to see a year-on-year increase, with sales of $12.48 billion, marking a 19% rise compared to the previous year. Despite this growth in the first quarter, the subsequent decline in sales over the next three quarters suggests that the total sales of OLED screens for this year will slightly fall below last year’s total of $54 billion, resulting in an expected year-on-year decline.
