On the evening of December 15, vivo officially unveiled its new vivo S50 series, including the vivo S50 and vivo S50 Pro mini, with prices starting at 2,999 yuan.

In terms of design, the S50 series introduces a new "Confession" colorway, featuring a satin-frosted glass back panel with an innovative satin etching process. Additionally, it offers three other color options: Inspiration Purple, Leisure Blue, and Deep Space Black. The vivo S50 boasts a 6.59-inch large display, while the vivo S50 Pro mini comes with a 6.31-inch compact screen.

For imaging, the vivo S50 series is equipped with a Sony IMX882 large-sensor periscope telephoto lens, supporting up to 10x zoom, combined with vivo's self-developed original image engine and AI-powered image enhancement algorithms. The series also introduces new professional-grade Live shooting modes and features like the "Atmosphere Film Live Collection." The vivo S50 Pro mini features a Sony IMX921 ultra-light-sensitive bionic large-sensor main camera, paired with vivo's proprietary VCS bionic light-sensing technology, improving signal-to-noise ratio and color accuracy in low-light conditions.

Performance-wise, the vivo S50 series is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8-series flagship chips, with the S50 Pro mini being among the first to feature the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip. The series also includes large-area high-performance thermal graphite and efficient VC liquid cooling for heat dissipation, along with a 6,500mAh Blue Ocean battery.

For displays, the vivo S50 supports ultra-low brightness of approximately 1nit and 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, while the S50 Pro mini offers full-screen AOD (Always-On Display). Both models feature ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0 and IP69 + IP68 dust and water resistance. On the software front, the series runs on the new OriginOS 6, offering practical features like voice-to-text transcription and ultra-clear document processing, as well as multi-device collaboration with iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.

Pricing starts at 2,999 yuan for the vivo S50 and 3,699 yuan for the vivo S50 Pro mini.
