The 2026 National Summer Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season was officially launched on July 8th in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Throughout the consumption season, various regions across the country will focus on popular demand areas such as summer retreats, coastal vacations, night-time economy activities, cruise and yacht tours, family entertainment, educational travel, intangible cultural heritage cuisine, and museum visits. The initiative aims to increase the supply of high-quality cultural and tourism products.
More than 30,000 cultural and tourism consumption events will be organized, and over 450 million yuan in consumption vouchers and other subsidies will be distributed. These efforts are designed to help residents and tourists enjoy their summer holidays and have wonderful travel experiences.
The season will run from early July through the end of August. During this period, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with relevant institutions, will roll out a series of pro-consumer measures covering sightseeing, summer retreats, transportation, and event viewing.
