The 21st China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair, currently underway in Guangzhou, has spotlighted Guangdong's leading robotics manufacturers. The embodied intelligence exhibition area showcases the province's advancements, with robots ranging from athletic performers to task-oriented assistants. Guangdong is driving the large-scale implementation of embodied intelligence robots through breakthroughs in core technology, diverse application scenarios, and synchronized industry-chain development.

Guangdong stands as one of China's primary hubs for the industrialization and commercialization of embodied intelligence robots, with its comprehensive strength ranking among the nation's best. In 2025, the province produced 336,300 industrial robots and 15.18 million service robots, representing 43.5% and 81.7% of the national total, respectively. Its industrial robot output has maintained the number one position nationwide for six consecutive years.

Inside the exhibition, embodied intelligence robots demonstrate their versatility across multiple sectors. These machines are being deployed in factory workshops, urban streets, and industrial parks, showcasing a wide range of operational uses. Zhipingfang's universal intelligent robots have achieved large-scale deployment on production lines in the automotive and semiconductor industries. Gosuncn's patrol robots cover three major areas: public security, parks, and industrial maintenance. Yuntu Zhixing's autonomous cleaning robots apply L4-level self-driving technology to urban sanitation services.

Sun Chao, co-founder of Shenzhen Yuntu Zhixing Technology Co., Ltd., stated, "Although our company was established recently, we have already begun expanding into overseas markets. We are currently in discussions with partners from Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Finland, and other countries."

Liao Junqiao, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Seychelles, who has long been involved in selling Chinese products overseas, noted a shift in his trade focus. "In the early days, I bought daily necessities; now, I am purchasing intelligent robots," he said. Liao believes that the growth of China's embodied intelligence robot industry offers vast business opportunities. During the fair, he procured home robots and bionic robots and purchased 50 sets of Zhuhai Jinhuiwei artificial intelligence software in one transaction. He plans to further promote these Chinese smart products from Seychelles into the Middle Eastern market.

The exhibition features a dedicated section for the "Top Ten Enterprising Robots of Guangdong," where ten local humanoid robot manufacturers, including LimX Dynamics, Autonomous, Zhipingfang, Ubtech, and EngineAI, present their flagship products. Together, these ten companies form a development front for Guangdong's humanoid robot industry, spanning technological research to market applications.

Zou Yongbing, Chief Economist of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, highlighted the province's robust industrial system. "Guangdong possesses a complete supporting chain for the embodied intelligence industry. High-quality partners can be found within the province for everything from core components to complete machine manufacturing, from software algorithms to industry-specific applications," Zou said. "This is the foundation of the 'Top Ten Enterprising Robots' strength and the core competitiveness of Guangdong's industrial ecosystem."

Gao Shan, co-founder of Guangdong Zhidong Weilai Technology Co., Ltd., praised the local environment for business growth. "China has the most extensive application scenarios for embodied intelligence," Gao noted. "Guangdong offers excellent development conditions, whether in terms of the robot industry chain or talent development. Currently, the vast majority of our upstream and downstream partners come from Guangdong."

The industry is now transitioning from a stage of technological rivalry to one of industrial competition. Guangdong has pioneered a national "tournament-style competition for embodied intelligence application scenarios," which supports robot companies in forming industrial consortia to tackle applied research challenges. The provincial government has allocated over 100 million yuan for these research initiatives. Zou elaborated on future plans: "We will invite the 'Top Ten Enterprising Robots' companies to serve as founding members in establishing an industrial alliance for embodied intelligence. This alliance will welcome high-quality enterprises from across the industry chain, promoting stronger coordination and collaboration among members. Our goal is to avoid homogenized development and vicious competition while jointly creating a mutually beneficial and innovative ecosystem for the embodied intelligence industry."
