Coupang, Inc. (CPNG) shares plunged 5.30% in after-hours trading on Tuesday following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results, which showed a revenue miss and a swing to a net loss driven by significant administrative fines in Korea.

The South Korean e-commerce giant reported total net revenues of $8.86 billion, up 4% year-over-year but below the consensus analyst estimate of $8.96 billion. Net loss attributable to stockholders was $570 million, or $0.32 per diluted share, compared to a net income of $32 million, or $0.02 per share, in the same period last year. The results were heavily impacted by approximately $410 million in certain administrative fines in Korea, which contributed to the operating and net losses.

Excluding the administrative fines, the adjusted net loss was $160 million, or $0.09 per diluted share. Gross profit margin contracted to 28.2% from the prior year. The company also reported a 3% increase in Product Commerce Active Customers to 24.7 million, but net revenues per active customer declined 2% year-over-year.
