According to a report released on Tuesday by the California New Car Dealers Association, Tesla's vehicle registrations in California fell by 24.3% in the first quarter of this year, marking the largest decline of any automotive brand in the state. This drop occurred as the overall electric vehicle market in California continued to shrink, highlighting a slowdown in the growth momentum of the EV industry in this crucial US region. The report further indicated that the state's total zero-emission vehicle sales for the quarter saw a significant decrease, dropping to 57,111 units from 95,520 units in the same period last year.
