This amount reflects a significant 54.3% increase year-on-year and also sets a new record for the highest first-half total in nearly five years. Regarding sector distribution, the high-technology industry led Hong Kong's ECM activity with a 36.7% market share ($16.3 billion), driven by increased issuance from semiconductor, electronics, software, and information technology companies.
