Hao Bai International Faces HK$5.50 Million High Court Claim Over Investment Dispute

Hao Bai International (Cayman) Limited disclosed that investor Liang Shanqing has initiated High Court Action No. 1225 of 2026 against the company, seeking up to HK$5.50 million in connection with an alleged investment agreement.

• Claim details – Primary claim: HK$5.50 million, comprising reimbursement of HK$2.00 million investment principal and HK$3.50 million in promised investment returns. – Alternative claim: HK$1.99 million, equivalent to the investment principal, on a restitutionary basis. – Additional demands: Interest under Sections 48 and 49 of the High Court Ordinance, legal costs, and any further relief the court deems appropriate.

• Litigation timeline – Writ of Summons issued: 14 July 2026. – Writ served on the company: Approximately 20 July 2026.

• Company response – Hao Bai International disputes the allegations, is obtaining legal advice, and intends to file an Acknowledgment of Service within the statutory period. – The board stated it will “strenuously defend” the proceedings and take all possible steps to safeguard shareholder and investor interests.
