A new research report on corporate investment in human capital was unveiled on June 11th at a forum held at Tsinghua University.

The event, titled "Investing in People for Corporate Sustainability," was organized by the Institute for Contemporary China Studies at Tsinghua University with support from Wind ESG and PA GOODDOCTOR.

The report, named "Research on Corporate Sustainability Indicator System for 'Investing in People'," is described as the first of its kind in China, offering a systematic and pioneering framework.

It integrates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), international ESG disclosure standards, and China's domestic "Healthy China" initiative into a unified system.

The framework provides a quantifiable, comparable, and actionable set of metrics for Chinese enterprises to measure high-quality development.

It aims to serve as an authoritative guide and roadmap for companies to fulfill social responsibilities and enhance organizational resilience.

Hu Angang, a senior professor at Tsinghua University and honorary dean of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, highlighted progress since the "Healthy China 2030" plan and emphasized the need for continued commitment to health-first strategies.

He stated that building a comprehensive, high-level health system is fundamental to achieving China's modernization goals.

The report concentrates on employee rights and well-being, establishing a practical and instructive research framework, particularly for state-owned enterprises.

Utilizing the Wind ESG database, the study analyzed a sample of over 2,500 listed companies, including central and local state-owned enterprises as well as private firms with significant market capitalization.

The framework is structured around four key dimensions: health governance and responsibility synergy, health promotion and human-centric development, employee rights and support guarantees, and healthy environment and safe spaces.

These dimensions comprehensively address organizational, cultural, rights-based, and environmental aspects of corporate people management.

He Mingke, CEO of PA GOODDOCTOR, emphasized that "investing in people" is not just a policy directive but a core principle for long-term corporate success.

He stated that as a professional partner in corporate health management, PA GOODDOCTOR is committed to helping businesses translate health initiatives into tangible productivity gains.

He concluded that achieving a synergy between employee well-being and corporate high-quality development is essential for navigating future challenges and securing shared success.
