According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, crude oil production shifted from decline to growth. In the January–February period, industrial crude oil output from enterprises above the designated size reached 35.73 million metric tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. This compares with a 0.6% decline recorded in December 2025. Average daily production stood at 606,000 metric tons. Crude oil processing also maintained growth during the same period, with volume reaching 122.63 million metric tons, up 2.9% year-on-year. Average daily processing amounted to 2.079 million metric tons.
