IGG posts 1H26 revenue of HK$2.88 billion, maintains 60% payout with HK16.4 cents interim & special dividends

IGG (00799) reported a 6% year-on-year rise in revenue to HK$2.88 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Core drivers included “Doomsday: Last Survivors”, up 33% YoY to about HK$700 million, and flagship title “Lords Mobile”, which generated HK$1.02 billion nearly a decade after launch.

Net profit slipped 4% to HK$312.67 million, weighed by a HK$9.68 million fair-value loss on investments. Excluding investment swings, net profit from core business came in at HK$322.35 million, down 6% YoY but up 45% versus 2H25. Adjusted net income, which adds back share-based payments, was HK$325.15 million.

By geography, Asia contributed 41% of revenue, Europe 37%, and North America 18%. The newer APP Business delivered HK$566.30 million, 7% higher YoY and now forms 20% of group turnover.

Cost control lifted gross margin to 85% from 83% a year earlier, as cost of revenue fell 8% to HK$428.45 million. Selling and distribution expenses rose 5% to HK$1.41 billion, keeping the expense-to-sales ratio flat at 49%. R&D spend increased 13% to HK$446.90 million, reflecting investment in new titles.

The board declared an interim dividend of HK8.2 cents per share and a special dividend of HK8.2 cents, together equating to HK16.4 cents, or 60% of first-half earnings. Payment is scheduled for 14 September 2026, with record date on 4 September 2026.

During the period the company repurchased 0.62 million shares for HK$2.38 million and spent HK$69.77 million buying shares for its employee share award scheme, bringing total cash returned to shareholders (dividends plus buy-backs) to about HK$190 million.

IGG closed June with cash and cash equivalents of HK$1.99 billion and no bank borrowings. Net current assets stood at HK$1.53 billion; the gearing ratio remained low at 25.7%.

Management signalled continued momentum for “Doomsday: Last Survivors”, upcoming strategy game launches and steady APP Business growth as key levers for the second half of 2026.
