On Tuesday, chip stocks experienced a broad uptick, with Qualcomm (QCOM.US) leading the charge by climbing more than 4%. Other notable gainers included Intel (INTC.US), SK Hynix (SKHY.US), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US), each advancing over 2% during the trading session.

Driving the optimism, Qualcomm officially announced on September 15 that the upcoming Nubia NaviX Ultra smartphone will be powered by its fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform. The device integrates Doubao mobile assistant to deliver generative AI and agent-based AI experiences to users.

According to Nubia's official specifications, the NaviX Ultra features the industry's first standalone AI button with built-in fingerprint recognition. This button supports dialect recognition and voice wake-up capabilities, while also tapping into Seed's latest full-duplex voice large model for enhanced interaction.

On the hardware front, the new handset boasts a 200-megapixel main camera paired with a flagship triple-camera setup. It also incorporates a Galaxy cold-control cooling system with a 7100mm² 3D vapor chamber for efficient heat dissipation. The device measures just 7.62mm thick and houses a 7100mAh fifth-generation South China Sea battery, alongside a Starry Sky full-domain communication system with an enhanced full-link network transmission engine.

The Nubia NaviX Ultra is a collaborative effort between ZTE and ByteDance, featuring the Doubao assistant, which has earned it the nickname "Doubao Phone 2." Key partners on this project include Qualcomm Snapdragon, BOE, ChangXin Memory, Samsung Semiconductor, and Goodix Technology.
